What ShareCostsNow is
ShareCostsNow is for splitting expenses between several people: household, trip or dinner groups, with temporary people who get settled up and leave the group, incomes and refunds, groups that are archived and reopened, and receipts read line by line. Balance and settlement calculations are an aid to agreeing among yourselves: they are not a payment service and no money moves through them. You make the payments yourselves by your own means (bank transfer, mobile payment, cash) and ShareCostsNow only records them.
Terms of use
- You may use ShareCostsNow for free for personal use. The free plan shows ads; Pro removes them and adds paid features.
- You are responsible for what you record and for whom you invite to your groups. Anyone with a group's invitation link can join it: share it only with the people you want inside, and change it from the group settings if needed.
- Using the service's API from other applications or extracting data in bulk without prior agreement is not permitted.
- ShareCostsNow is provided "as is". The owner does not guarantee that the service will always be available or free of errors, and is not responsible for the accounts you settle among yourselves based on it.
Pro subscription
- What it includes: Pro is a subscription that removes the ads and gives you the extras shown on the app’s Pro screen. Everything on the free plan stays the same.
- Price: €0.99 a month or €7.99 a year, taxes included, or the equivalent in your country’s currency. The price that applies is the one Google Play shows you before you pay.
- Billing and automatic renewal: Pro is bought in the Android app and charged by Google Play with the payment method on your Google account. It is charged when you subscribe and renews automatically at the end of each period (a month or a year), at the same price, until you cancel it. If the price changes, Google Play tells you in advance.
- How to cancel: whenever you like, in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ShareCostsNow, or with “Manage subscription” on the Pro screen. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for; then you go back to the free plan and your data stays there. Deleting your ShareCostsNow account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it in Google Play first.
- It belongs to your account: Pro is linked to your ShareCostsNow account, not to your phone. On another phone, sign in with the same account and use “Restore purchases”. A subscription cannot be used on another account.
- Refunds: Google Play handles them under its own terms, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer. A refunded purchase no longer gives Pro.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law insofar as it applies to the service provided to users in Spain, without prejudice to the rights you have as a consumer.
