The website uses no cookies
ShareCostsNow does not set cookies in your browser: neither its own nor third-party ones, neither for analytics nor for advertising. That is why you will not see any cookie notice.
What is stored on your device, then
For the app to work, the following is kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies and without sharing it with third parties:
- Your session token, so you do not have to sign in every time. It disappears when you sign out.
- Your preferences on this device: the language, the last group you opened, whether you ask for your fingerprint when opening the app, the notification identifier and whatever you leave half-done in a form.
- The application cache (service worker): the screen and the last data seen, so it opens fast and works with poor coverage.
You can delete it whenever you like from your browser's site data; the token is also deleted when you sign out.
In the Android app
The app loads this same website. On the free plan it shows a Google AdMob banner, which may use your device’s advertising ID and stores your ad choice on it. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it asks you first with Google’s consent form, and you can change your choice in “Your account” → “Ad privacy”. With Pro there are no ads.
